I'm using a Verizon wireless card. It's about $60/month and has worked well thus far. The model I have has an internal antenna. Some models allow an external antenna attachment which should provide greater range in the fringe areas. Have your dad e-mail me with your e-mail address.

Thanks for the answer. My Blackberry is also from Verizon so it is effectively the same type of service as your card. I agree in that it works very well for me when I am on the road. Luckily, it does not work anywhere in Cameron or Vermilion Parishes. This way I can get some peace during duck and alligator season!
