On Sunday we departed Shubert's at 7:00. We were delayed at each of the two railroad bridges on the north end of the Industrial Canal. We turned into the ICW at about 8:30 then ran to the Rigolets. At that point we enter Mississippi Sound. Well, wouldn't you know, it started to rain so I closed up the eisenglass and fell in behind this towboat. After about half an hour the rain let up so we cranked it up again. Normally on a clear day you can see the Mississippi coastline as you cruise east through the Sound. Not so on a rainy foggy day. We encountered a mild chop during the time we were north of the barrier islands but in the passes we ran into three footers on the beam. Pretty rocky. We arrived Biloxi at 2:30 and fueled up. Still no power at Point Cadet marina and the office building was destroyed but the place is in pretty good shape. Had dinner at the restaurant in the Isle of Capri casino. Overall a pretty tough day.
