When I was planning our trip I researched a number of marina websites and boating forums. While doing so I came across a web log created by a couple from Missouri who, after a life changing experience, decided to quit their jobs, sell the house, buy a boat and go cruising. They began their journey in May 2006. Their blog site is www.btlifes2short.blogspot.com. it is very interesting and entertaining.
As it turns out, we are docked at the Demopolis Yacht Basin in a slip adjacent to the couple, Todd and Brenda. We met them last night and shared stories of our (mis)adventures. Maybe the title of this post should have been "It's a Small World".
We're gonna be here a couple of days so I can get our boat pulled out on Monday. Seems like that while the M/V Marlee Ann was sitting in Destin she acquired some extra baggage (barnacles) on her running gear and she's not performing at optimum.
