I've been watching this pair of birds for the past few days. The bird in the top picture sits on the pole and waits for the other bird to bring over a small fish. The process is repeated several times.
Rob Roy and Sherrie are boating friends from Houston. They stopped over in Destin on their way back to Texas from the Bahama's. By coincidence they saw us anchored at Crab Island on Sunday and came over and rafted up. We have have a great couple of days catching up on their stories of the trip to the Bahamas.
We had to make a quick trip to Houston for a follow up doctor's visit. On the way we stopped over for a wedding party for our nephew Josh and his fiancee, Cali. The party was held in the country near St Martinville. It was a nice day with family and friends. Josh is an Iraqi War vet, three tours. He's doing well and we're proud of him.
Our little beach near the marina has been overrun with construction equipment. Supposedly a new condo development is going up. With the huge number of unsold condo's on the market i don't believe this development will be going up soon.
Our return to Destin has been delayed a couple weeks due to the minor inconvenience of a blocked artery which required a stent implantation. Ho-Hum. Well, we're leaving tomorrow, finally. Next blog update will be from Destin harbor.
Meagan is a female stray cat that showed up a couple years ago and decided to stay. Our male stray, Jerry, is quite enamoured of Meagan. Unfortunately, his love is unrequited. She just won't give him any. Meagan was named by our nephew Colin who was visiting when she showed up.
